Hi, Im long time rennlister, first time visiting the 930 board. Trying to learn about a collegues 930. Please see attached images below:

Id like to know color and interior and is there any way to learn about options that came with car? Its a 1979 with 50k miles. Appears to be a brown metallic with a cork? interior.

Sorry to ask the obvious but can't you get a COA off Porsche with the VIN that will show options. Love the car btw, soft spot for early Turbos.

Phil should be along soon to tell you about the color. I think he has had a couple of these.

Looks like the door jam paint code says 451 which would be mocha-brown. The exterior pic looks to hold true, but that would mean it’s a single stage non-metallic. The overspray of the chassis Vin pic shows a lighter color maybe Casablanca or Tobacco. Interior is definitely cork with sport seats which is a option. Also passenger side mirror, sunroof, limited slip are also options for a ‘79 930, barring anything special wish. Are you sure its a metallic, looks to be mocha-brown. Any more pics? The COA should tell all.

The car is registered on 1979 porsche turbo registry as black/cork.

Shlobeck is correct, car looks like it's Mocha Brown, 419 is not an identified color for 79. Might be a PTS color from Porsche- you need someone with access for factory records or buy a COA from Porsche.

Not sure why but in 1979 Porsche changed the name from Mocha Brown to Mocha Black.
