Value of 1976 930 Turbo
Hoping you guys can help out on this one. Came across a potential 1976 930 Turbo thru a distant family friend's, friend. I haven't seen the car in person yet, but according to the owner's wife: 2nd owner. Husband purchased car in London from original owner who was a LeMans driver? Then the car was shipped to the states and the last time it was driven was in 1987. It has been in storage since and is currently not running.
The attached pics are the ones the wife sent via text. If it isn't running, what type of value would you guys place on the car? I'll get more details and pics when I see it in person.

Don’t know about value, but the car is interesting. As Four Liter stated, no sunroof adds a ton of value. What I find interesting is that is has the small secondary vent on the tail, denoting no A/C (a plus btw), making it a ROW car more than likely. However its got the larger US DOT rear bumpers. An enigma.

Lots of questions need to be asked. Why hasn't it been driven since '87...was it put to bed because of a breakdown of sorts, or just because there wasn't anyone to drive it? If it just needs to be resurrected from previously no issues running but long time sitting, what comes out of your wallet will be less....but still substantial. We would need a whole lot more info to offer a value guess. Offer $15K and expect to spend the same (that's pretty low ball....we'll see if I get flamed!!!).

Interesting car, will be a money pit no doubt, value will depend on if there is a any rust and what it needs mechanically. Also depends on what you want- if you want a driver car could be interesting project. If you want something nicer probably cheaper in long run to buy a nicer car.

If it needs nothing other than recommissioning which you can do yourself, I’d guess $20k to strip and reassemble all the mechanicals, replace seals etc. But if it’s got body issues I’d guess other side of $100k. Can you save the paint and keep,it original?
