WTB: 1989 930 Turbo Coupe or Targa
HI everyone. I'm not sure that this forum is the right place for this post. If not, please let me know where to move it.
I'm looking for a low mileage, investment grade 1989 930 turbo coupe or targa. I've been researching for a while now, and am ready to move for the right car.
Please contact me via reply or PM.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Barry

You might want to refine what you mean by "investment grade" and "low mileage." Production numbers were so low, and so many 89s were modified, it is hard to understand what the range is for what you are looking for.

Gator, thanks for the reply and advice. I’m looking for an all stock, unmodified car, no paint work, full service history and clean Carfax. Condition must be very clean showing little to no wear in the interior. I’m planning on driving the car, so I’m ok with up to 50,000 miles as long as the other boxes are checked.
I hope that helps.

Barry - I hope you find what you are looking for! My dad still has his 89 930 that he brought home on my 8th birthday on December 23, 1988. His has around 50k or so, and has definitely been driven. Below is a picture of the last time I had it out at the track, three wheels going through the hairpin at Sebring. I was the only idiot out there in the "advanced DE" which was basically extra practice for the 48 hours club race. These days, it gets driven a little bit in Florida, but mostly sleeps in the garage. The 89 is an amazing machine. I still can't figure out how I fit in there with a helmet on. Every time I am home to drive it, it is a refreshing awesome mechanical experience. When you find something, make sure to post some pitchers!
Thanks,
Barry
