Default 79 930 car cover

Looking to find a custom fit car cover for my 79 930.
Any recommendations?

Coverking doesn't have a whale tail option, but has mirror pockets.

Covercraft has whale tail option but doesn't have mirror pockets. They want me to purchase, receive it, place it on the car, mark the position where I want the pockets and then ship it back to them. They will do it for free, but I won't be able to return if pockets don't fit correctly. What a hassle...

I'm not sure how you got this info but I own 1 of each and both have mirror pockets and both are for cars with a whale tail. Both of my cars are 930's.

I got the info from their website and I spoke with them through email and on the phone.
I'm interested in the coverking "silverguard plus" which there are two options and they're both W/O Whale tail. Do you happen to have the part numbers for your covers? I'm assuming your 930's are both '79s?

Cert at Carnwal is where I would start. His products are perfect and close to factory. http://carnewal.com/

You wont find covers on the site, email him.

You're getting bad info. I've purchased 930 covers from both Covercraft and Coverking. The one I use for my cars is the tan flannel which is a great indoor cover but not for outdoor use. The Covercraft number for that one is "CB21TF" from the sewn-in tag. I like the Silverguard cover for outdoor use and it rolls up very small which makes it nice to stow. I bought a Silverguard Plus thinking it would be best of both worlds but didn't like it. It was huge and bulky.

1-79, 1-88 same body design, mine are indoor covers. Covercraft is from the formfit line, coverking is their stretch one, I like the fit of cover craft better.

We have covers tailor made for the 930.

These are the available colors :

For the 930, I have the black, Ferrari red and silver grey covers in stock.
These have mirror pockets, Porsche crest on the hood and come in a storage bag.

Even though mine is a 964 Turbo, I would expect the covers to fit the same.

Here is a thread over there, discussing covers,.. and I included the part #, along with pics, for the one I use (inside only)...

Default Car Cover

What I did was bought a 997 Turbo car cover. It actually fits the car really nicely.

It might be too much to ask, but here goes, would you guys mind posting a pic of the cover on your car so I can see which fit I will choose? Thanks in advance.

already did that in post #10 above.

or maybe you have a specific cover that you want to "see" (from someone who already owns & is using one...)
