Default Newbie Fender Question

Does anyone know if it's possible to modify and weld in an early front turnsignal box to a later 80's fender to allow installation of correct year turnsignals on a 70 911? I don't want to junk the current later fenders as it currently has a very well executed steel 930 flares on them. Anyone have a source to purchase this signalbox from? Lastly, is it also possible to buy and install an early 'long hood' yet still retain the existing front hood latch location on the body? Thanks in advance!

Yes it has been done.

They can be either steel or fiberglass. Fiberglass may be very challenging.

Sources: TRE, AASE, Rennspeed.
Search for others.

Steel can be around $450 each.

Yep, TRE is THE source authority on all things Backdate.....and Dave is good people.

He cornered me at an event last fall and spent a good half hour going over my car asking a million questions.
