You are going to be hard pressed to find a 72/73 coupe in that price range. I was looking for the exact same thing and my budget was higher than yours and it was still very difficult. I ended up getting a 72 T but I had to up the budget even more than I already had to find something. She still needs work, but its somethign I can work on overtime.
Good luck with your search.

not hard to end up spending 100k for a LWB early 911 once it is sorted and rodded.
I have my mint 1972T that i would entertain $85k to be fair..
I also have a metal work completed and ready for paint roller 1969T that i would entertain $45k

Well it took over a year but I think I landed my hot rod candidate. I held very firm to my budget and actually landed a '72T well below my budget. Yes the car needs work and I am going into it eyes wide open but I think I did well. There are still deals out there (not talking about basket case cars) but you need to watch the key listings very regularly and have money in hand ready to pounce. I had 3 other great deals that I just barely missed - so while rare, there are still deals out there. Once I lock down the transaction I will post more info and share progress of the build (which will be a long process).
