When a clutch job turns bad

Motor going back in. On the fan and shroud we water and glass blasted it and it had this cool natural look, a little uneven, but that's the natural metal, to the finish so we just clear coated them. Didn't bother with a silver paint or powered coat.

Hey Chris - Not only is she back in the garage but she's back in the garage w/ an eye popping motor (& clutch). Looks great . . Looking forward to seeing her up close.

I think I want to raise it up about 1/2" all around, it's pretty slammed at the moment.
Oh, here is a PSA for the G50 owners too:
Try Motul gear 300 LS if you have Limited Slip, Regular Gear 300 if you don't. I've put about 100mi on the car so far and no "g50" rattle, no diff noise, and SUPER smooth shifting hot and cold. I'm a big delvac fan for my track cars but this is much better product for the street. This one has Limited slip additives, so not best for a high track use car.

Even though I recently put in a J-West Shifter I still find it hard to get into 1st gear when transmission is cold. I probably need to do another shifter adjustment tweak. I have a fresh J-West coupler that I need to put in as well. I'm used to the 'high release' clutch pedal.
I personally like your 'slammed' posture but being higher (i.e. closer to stock) makes motoring around the city, parking lots, garages, etc. so much easier.
Will you be at Luftgekuhlt 4?

Your motor looks great. My bottom side we didn't clean so much, mainly the heat exchangers (but living in CA.... they're just a bit tarnished is all). I'll get under there and scrub them one of these days :-)
