Default Distributor curve

I'm having my distributor rebuilt by Moto parts in California. I decided to go with Moto after reading some of the threads on Rennlist and Pelican. The price was right as well.

My 81 911SC is stock. Can the distributor curve be altered for increased performance during a rebuild -- or is there no gain with a stock engine?
Can the distributor be set to the Euro (ROW) curve or would other changes have to be made to take advantage of this?

Thanks.

Hi Todd:

There is really no benefit from having your distributor curved on your SC.

Just set the timing to 34-35 deg total at 6000 RPM and you'll be fine.
