and the 470 option brings additional value. So as far as price, I paid right in between the narrow body Carrera and Turbo range for concourse level cars.

Why post about your M491 purchase in this thread (those title is "M491, M470 911 Carrera 1985-1989 Values") but not include the price? Am I missing something? It's not classified information you know.

OK, I paid $55 for this beauty three years ago... in retrospect, I stole it! I have it insured for $70, and would not let it go for that.
It's a '87 / G50 coupe... gotta love it!
Service records to the first oil change, 3.4 conversion by Bill Brewster, original paint, like new everything else.
Eight 'shows' ... eight wins, including two best-in-class at PCA Maverick Region's 'May at Mayo's' event. 'Porsche photo of the month" in Panorama a year or so ago. And, best of all, I swap e-mails from time to time with all of the car's previous owners. Life is good.
I'll sell it when I have to in order to pay my nursing home bill.
I need to increase my agreed value insurance

Actually, unless you have access to the sales agreement or DMV records, it is classified info. But suffice to say that purchase price+taxes+professional detail (full paint correction, CQuartz treatment, and full frontal clear bra) is less than the insured value.

I have seen some decent 930's in the 80-90 range so I would assume buyers are making that choice. 1-20k is a fair delta in my mind, closer to that I would just pony up and get a turbo
