Yeah,I thought so.It's been a while since I've seen it.I don't know if he still has it.When I saw it last I'd just have stuck it on the trailer and run it.He still knows his stuff.

Looks like a decent car... a little pricey but not too bad.

Why do some people call a project car a "build"? Build is a verb, not a noun. It makes them sound like a douchebag reality TV commentator. I guess that's the way to feel like you're living the life, I dunno.

How stupid do they think people are? That car is so wrong it hurts. It's about as "Outlaw" as Kris' son's ****. Sure it's got some visual cue's that are a direct rip off of Magnus' creations, but the seats (including the back seats) and dash cover destroy all credibility in this car. ...and I usually like this kinda car....seems I may even own one in the same genre.

The worst part is, they destroyed a '73 911S. Hope it was not a Carrera. Someone needs to kick that smiling idiot in the *******.

No, they destroys a '77 911S. That wasn't as bad a crime as cutting up a '73S....actually a good use of a '77

This is a bit misleading: "Unlike builds from later SC’s and Carreras, the ’76 911s still only weighed about 2,400 lbs. Plus, with the removal of much of the weight..."

... as an SC or Carrera can be stripped down to a light wt. too.

If the 3.2L motor in the thing is stock it is way over-priced.

But another issue for the OP is the "delay premium" he will pay by waiting for the perfect car to come along vs. getting something soon and modifying it as he drives it (say mod in winter & drive in summer).

We often think in terms of risk premiums since we all have insurance, but there can be issues with waiting too. I've seen several owners die of old age while their car is sitting on a rotisserie so it can be made just right. OTOH, those were all upside down bathtub cars...

I see it says "'77" in the article. If the bading is authentic, then it's a pre-SC Carrera, which would be an even bigger shame. Those cars went like stink, and were lighter than an SC. I would say that the modifications made the car less desirable.

the modifications made the car more desirable to racer-boy and his buddies; less desirable to normal people

Bought a new 77 s.2.7 CIS inj, white, blackout trim.Porsche Audi of Manhattan. No offense to anybody here but it was not only the worst Porsche I ever owned, but maybe the worst car.My girlfriend was driving it home and got cut off by an ambulance full of Orthodox Jews who used the lights and siren to clear rush hour traffic every Fri. eve on their way home to Rockland County. She drove off rt. 17 in Jersey into a place that sold lawn ornaments. She killed about a hundred Mexicans, donkeys and lawn jockeys. For some reason I had to pay for them.Ins wouldn't cover it.Don't know why I remember all this,it just seemed like a fitting end to a piece of junk.Bought an Alfa GTV.It was 10x the car.Porsche gave me $7500.00 for the engine.Good riddance.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but I am continually amazed by how many people attribute any and all Porsche modifications to Magnus, Singer and the like. No offense to either Magnus or the Singer guys as their work demonstrates incredible execution and a keen eye for design cohesion, but many of these "visual cues" are evocative of cars that came along before they made hay with social media and other avenues afforded by the internet.
