Default 911 Carrera S Parts/Accessories

Hello,
My boyfriend just got his new toy a week ago (2011 911 Carrera S). I am not so into cars to know enough what the most exciting and useful accessory/part would be to purchase and am hoping I can get some ideas from Porsche lovers such as yourself.
This will be a gift for Christmas.
Thank you. I truly appreciate the help.

Some details about the car: He is currently looking to put a system in for better sounds and its convertible. Picture attached:

NiceGF, so you're aware and can impress him with your Porsche knowlege, your BF has purchased a 997.2 variant 911. You can find a link to the appropriate forum below:

They may have some helpful advice particular to this model.

However, since the car is new and he'll inevitably take some time to learn his like/dislikes and where he wants to focus his attention you might start with a detailing kit; everyman needs a clean car!

I'm in Canada, but I've heard decent things about ordering from autogeek:

No I haven't! I just saw the pictures, they weren't loading before, this is a 997.1, probably not a 2011 but instead 2005-2008. No worries though, great car and he's going to have lots of fun. Anything he gets from his spouse will only make it that much more special.

I agree with the aforementioned! Every man needs a clean car, especially a Porsche. If he's not really into detailing himself, maybe a kit would spark his interest. It'll prematurely stop him from committing the crime of taking it through a car wash!

Good Luck!

Porsche makes a great selection of gift items that you can buy at the dealership. I bought some luggage for myself and a watch for my son awhile back.

If you really are a GREAT g/f, ( and no reason to doubt it ) that cleaning equipment may well be supplemented by buying yourself a really stunning bikini and offer to let him watch from the hammock in the shade as you detail the Porsche for him. Throw in a few of his favorite tunes, maybe a few bottles of a favorite libation, get the water and suds going for him and rock his world !

Believe me, it will all work out beautifully for you both ~

a detailing kit is useful to get him out of the house when he is annoying you

however, it can backfire and cause him to devote too much time to the car when he should be focused on you

a key fob is another, cheaper alternative

I'd say get him a coupon to have a pro detail the car but many Pooschey owners will not let others touch their car...

if he is mechanical then a set of tools is like jewelry for guys
