I ordered a distributor cap and rotor from Vertex off the web. The description and picture of both items was Bosch. The invoice reads Bosch for both parts. What came are parts made by Beru.
I'm sure Vertex will tell me they are interchangeable, but before I talk to them, I'm intereted in whether anyone has had good or bad experience with Beru parts.
BTW, also ordered ATE Gold brake fluid and what came is ATE, but TYP200, and the can (which looks very different) is labelled "original brake fluid" in about 20 languages. It is dot 4. Is this comparable? Should I insist on the real thing?
Pisses me off that they didn't send what I ordered even if it comparable, etc. I'm waiting for them to wake up in CA so I can call them.
Thanks for your thoughts
