100K to spend on a collection.....

Well, I'd go with my current car (doesn't everybody?), and one other:
1972 3.6 RSR clone:
1996 or 1997 993TT Coupe:
I don't know if it would come in under the 100K ceiling, and I don't know that I'd call it a 'collection' -- but it would make for a nice choice when I walk out to the garage.

I would keep my currents....'88 911 Club Sport, '99 E55 and add an '91 E30 M3.
think it could be done for under 100k if I could find the e30 for mid teens(wish I never sold mine a couple years ago)

If I had another $100K and an opportunity to make that dumbell move again, I'd get a brain transplant instead.

How about the following (in addition to what I already own - a 79 930 and an 04 Cayenne S. Hmmmm, is that cheating??)......
1974 Carrera - White with Blue accents or Blue with Gold accents
1987 Slant Nose Turbo
1996 993 Twin Turbo
That should just about fit into the $100K budget!

I would drop $15k into this one. Build the 911ST/R that i've been brainstorming for a while now. And with the rest of the money chase down a 993TT...as a winter car.

I would consider adding a 993 RS 3.8 (can you import these yet?) and a very nice Super 90 356 cab if possible, but may have to be 356 coupe to keep it under 100K. I really want another 993, but one that is not still depreciating so much.

Following the school of thought that a replica is better than the real thing if you plan on beating the snot out of it (and cheaper), here goes some silliness:
SWB 911R clone, built on a carbed, high compression, twin plugged, 906 cammed, 2.7 (or better yet, Carrera 3 case).
934 clone, with a hot CIS 3.3 (Imagine Auto "Big Bad" or similar) with air/water intercooler, just to be different.
Ruf CTR clone, with a hot 3.4 EFI setup (Maybe a twin turbo like Mark Hargett is working on), built on a G50 Carrera, with stock gearing.
It would be close, but it could probably be done for ~100K, if I do as much labor as possible.

Well the thing with the yellow bird is first trying to find one. Then getting the owner drunk enough so you can talk him into selling. Then finding the money. There would be no collection after purchasing that baby. Nonetheless, there is absolutely no finer street Porsche. Would take one in a heartbeat.

Unless parking it in the garage and rubbing it with a daiper does it for you......
