Default Oil choices

Hey guys!
I own a 1974 911S 2.7L
I have been using 15w-40 diesel oil. Is this bad? I'm on top of oil changes with top brand filters. Mann, mahle, beck arnley...
Should I go to a different oil? Mobil 1 15w-50? Mobil 1 v-twin 20w-50?

Thanks!

Another oil thread.... I use Mobil1 15-50. $23 for a 5 quart bottle at Walmart.
Plenty of ZDDP and cheaper too.

Agree. M1 15w50 for me too. 1,300 ppm zddp and there's even a $12 off coupon for 5qt jug thru end of March making that $23 only $11 lol

Asking for opinion on oil is like discussing politics. Truth is both are fine. Buy whatever is cheaper

BP for me as well in the 1980. Found a good deal for a case on Amazon couple months ago. I use stock classic oil filter(reddish in color) that I bought at the Eastern Porche Tech Center at the recent Tech Tactics.

I used to use mobile 1 and switched to Penn a couple of years ago.

Both good oils.
