I really hate how the speedo isn't where the tach is and vice/versa, has anyone switched them, or know of a shop that does (that you send them to)

You mean you drive your Porsche by the speedo rather than by the tach? Shame on you <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I really don't think it would be a problem, you are just switching gauges of the same size. The only drawback would be the wire. I don't know if there is enough slack to do this. If there is make SURE you mark the wires for each unit.

Ernie man... What kind of 911 do you drive? The Tach is bigger then the speedo in every 911 I have ever owned.

Oh & what are you thinking Schuey? Its a badge of honor to have the salad plate sized Tach in the middle. That is a performance car you have there, not a Cadillac.

Look at any racecar, the tach always takes center stage. Geezz, the next thing you will tell me is that you want to move the place where you stick in the key to start a 911!

There are sportscars that have the stuff you want... I guess the 911 is for a funny crowd.

Switchin them would be easy, but making it look good would be a real trick.... Moving the wires would be a piece of cake. the center gauge is bigger than the two on either side. so you would have to find two new gauges [a bigger speedo and a smaller tach]. I certainly would never even consider modifying the dash to make this work...it would just look silly even if you could make the cuts [and fill ins] look perfect.

Personally...i think having the tach front and center is super cool and convienient.

Micheal B: I was just asking...

Reason: I like the view of boththe tach/speedo like in my 944...

I'm going to change my steering wheel to the 930S pretty soon so I'll see if that improves the view any better...

Schu,

I am not barking man, just being loud. Sorry!

BTW... The 930S wheel will just make it that much "worse" (or better in my eyes)... D'oh! Sorry again!
