Both Denny and his son Mark Aker have been good friends of mine for the past 30 years and their shop is only blocks from my home on Capitol Hill.

Denny Aker is having open heart surgery - On Monday I plan to accompany Mark and visit Denny in the hospital.

I am putting together a card & thought it might be a nice gesture to copy/paste some thoughtful notes of encouragement from anyone here who has used his shop. You can just reply to this thread with a short note.

If anyone knows Denny, you can just imagine how irritated/bored he will be laying around recovering and not doing his usual tinkering on his stable of Porsches.
