Default 911S oil pipes grommet

Hi,
I have a 1970 2.2S which has the oil cooler pipes running thro the inner sills, front to back. I want to purchase the rubber grommets that hold the oil pipes in the inner rear and front wings. I have the original parts book which shows the grommets but no part number (page 8/2 T), on the PET CD it dosnt list the grommets.

Cheers

Nick, Your comment of the cooler pipes running through the inner
sills confuses me. On my '72 the cooler pipes to the front cooler
are exposed to outside air flow. Anyway, maybe somebody who posts on the early S registry board could help. Are you a member of the S registry? If not, you might find it a valuable resource, as we have members from all over the planet. Here's a link: http://www.early911sregistry.org/

This sounds like the set up used on the factory 911 ST rally cars

Hi Nick:
I have the same parts book. Look on page 8/2 ( not 8/2T) the grommet is listed as item 38 and the part # is 999.702.033.50 I hope your local dealer can get it. If you can't find any, I would measure the tubing and the hole diameter and do an internet search for RUBBER GROMMETS. Somebody out there makes a piece that will fit. Good luck.

Nick

If your pipes go through the sill, then maybe the car is something special. The ST pictured above was based on a 71 2.2S, but the factory built a handfull of STs for rallying. Perhaps your car has a history that you are unaware of. Could you post the VIN?

Just measure the part and do an internet search for RUBBER GROMMETS. You'll find a size that fits. Good luck
