i too am confused, 1973? i was led to believe the first road going Porsche 911 Turbo was built in 1974 and produced 260bhp... please clarify

The first Porsche "turbo" was the 917/30 from 1973... not a street car.

The Turbo Carrara was introduced in 1976-ish...? (back in the day Porsche didn't really have "model years", they basically evolved the cars in real time and kinda' sold them when they were ready.)

The first Porsche turbo race car was a 917/10 #2 raced in can-am in 1971.

The first turbo "street car" was shown at Frankfurt in 1973 but it was really just a mock up. Louise Piech was given a narrow bodied turbo as a 70th Birthday present in 1974. The first 930 anyone could buy would have been built in 1974 and sold as a 1975 model year.
