Help!! A/C refrigerant still leaking after replacing most o-rings, gaskets & tubes
Hi guys, it's been a few visit to my mechanics over the past 2 years and refrigerant still leaking on my 1999 C2.
I am thinking to try an A/C stop leaks myself but told by the mechanics that he's tried that twice (I am starting not to trust my mechanic) and he said using more of these stop leaks would clog the tubes/components.
I spent my time checking on the web and some brands claiming it will NOT clog or harm the a/c system even it's been used multiple times.
May I ask if anyone know if it's correct? Thanks so much guys!!!

You'll probably do better taking it to a good ac shop - did your mechanic do a vacuum hold test? Or how about uv dye?
Either way, stop leak is a temporary measure which doesn't really fix the root cause.
I'd probably suggest (if you've replaced hoses, tubes & orings) it's an issue with a component - evaporator, condenser or compressor seals.
But a uv dye should show it..,,

thanks neejah. Not tto sure about the vacuum hold test, but the mechanic did put in uv dye last year, found the leak and that's why the hoses, orings etc were replaced. But for some reason it starts leaking again now.

Trussard,
Have your AC tech sniff the evaporator box, near the TEV (exp valve),
the condensation drain tube, and the vents in the cockpit (AC running).
And, its okay, you can hang out here in the 911 forum, where "real air cooled" Porsche' park.
