1987 911 salvage need advice on the value
I've been wanting a 911 turbo for the longest time. I've owned 911's before and can appreciate the car for what it is. I'm an owner of a very nice 928, a highly moded BMW M Roadster, a 89 Mercedes 560SL, and a Ferrari 355. This will be the last piece in my collection.
For me, it seems like the ship has sailed. I can't afford a nice car that needs nothing. I wouldn't mind buying a salvage car because I could care about the resale value as I have no interest of reselling(unless of course something horrible happens). Another reason why I would be ok with getting a salvage car would be I will end up modding the car heavily(RBW style) and I rather get in the car with as little as possible and get it fixed as time and $$ allows.
So, the question is what do you guys think this car is worth?
Thanks

Not sure, looks pretty nice for something going through a salvage auction. You'll probably need to run the vin & options to see what it started off as & also look to see current condition in addition to what lead to it being salvage. I'd have said somewhere between current bid ($20k) and $30k is reasonable- but it depends what it's like in the flesh.
PS you've got similar taste in cars to me, jumped from a 928 to my 911 via a variety of Alfas (buddy used to run BMW's)....I almost went for a 355 prior to the 911 - but that boat had sailed too!

It says fire damage ... electrical ??? from what i can see the rest of the car appears to be untouched. The Andial intercooler is a sign that some $$$ were invested in that car as well.I would say 30K is very reasonable for a car that's easily worth double that amount once it's back in running order !

308-328 and the 355 Ferraris started to go up in value. If you still want to get in a Ferrari the 348 is it. You can still have it for about mid $40's. Hell of a car for that $$$.

Now when the later TVRs come to 25 years old lll bring a Griffith, Chim or Cerbera into the states! Supercar performance with parts bin running costs.....loved em! Would've kept it if I hadn't moved countries (not to derail the thread haha)
