The long term value of a Daily Driver

As another stated the age of these posts, but here is my opinion. Consider a 2003,2004 996 C4S
Make sure it has already had the IMS and clutch and RMS done or use that as leverage to get a price about 3-4k lower than asking price.
The car is a beast in performance, suspension is like a turbo, as is the body and AWD technology, if is it was previously well cared for. You can drive it anytime, but will need winter tires if you wil drive in winter weather, even with the AWD.
I only drove mine as a pleasure car and a handful of Porche DE events, and did upgrade the exhaust system (headers on back/Fabspeed).
The price is right for these 911s if you can live with the headlights, but at least the 2003 and 2004 lights are more pleasing than the earlier years.
IMO, Save the older AC 911 when you can use it for weekends, special trips, Porche club events, etc.

Got my 83SC in 1997 w/ 80k mi. Round trip per day @ 60mi. Located in North Carolina, summers tough on inefficient AC air cool engines provides. For me adding an older pickup is the best of both worlds. Truck for the AC and rainy days, Porsche for the rest.
