Default Keuhl A/C - Chillin' in the Black Forest

An awesome day driving through the Black Forest on one of the hottest days this summer...temps hovering in the high 90s and the first time I've been out in the afternoon driving in such temps since last summer here in Germany.

My Kuehl A/C was rocking! Running the system in my '88 Cab kept us cool and dry during spirited driving in the Forest. I ran the system at about 85% cold setting and about 95% fan setting. (I have the variable fan controller and Hurricane fan and like a lot of air blowing on me.)

Vent temps varied between about 35 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit as the compressor would cycle on and off. I have the dual Kuehl condensers in the LR wheel well. Installed in 2008.

Interior temps ran between 75-77F all day. I realized at the end of the day that I did not have the vent lever on the heater/vent panel closed so 95+ outside air was coming in the cabin all day so I'm sure the cabin temps would have been a little lower if I had closed the vent.

Engine oil temp hovered about 205F all day.

Glad to hear you are satisfied with Griffiths' KUEHL air conditioning upgrades in your 911. Black Forest is awesome!

Dealership in Destin, Florida. Great mechanic named Michael who had installed a few of them and sang its praises. Other local independent, Harry Williams (now sadly deceased) in Pensacola said they were flat out the best system he'd ever seen/installed.

I am so going to do this. Both the Keuhl A/C and drive my car in the Black Forest.

Another great morning in Germany. A spirited drive with my friend from work in his 2013 Shelby GT Mustang. 5.8L 700+ hp. Beautiful car! First pics are in the parking lot before assaulting the Forest.

Last time I drove through black forest was back in 91 in my new M3 - thanks for bringing back memories. Hope your friend managed to keep up with the 50th.

A fool is often parted, needlessly, from his/her money.

But we agree that a 75-77dF cabin temperature is perfectly satisfactory for otherwise normal humans.

Single Zim's fender condenser/fan ($500/kit) would have very likely given you the same results.

Not by any means saying Griffith's elements do not work and work well, just oftentimes overkill and 'way over-priced.

Are you here to participate in the thread, or just promote your own products?

I'll let your post stand - but, in the future - please let the thread be what it is without your editorial/promotional interlude.

Thank you.

Thank you...Some of us are sick and tired of it. This isn't the place for professional rivalry.

No products to promote.

Have never purchased either vendor's products, no plans to do so.

Op was "promoting", Pretty blatantly so, Griffiths products.

Just inserting for balance.

What's so objectionable about "this" post vs the below?

You seriously need to understand the definition of promote vs. relaying a positive experience. Promotion involves compensation. I highly doubt there is any compensation being made for somebody passing along a positive experience with a product.

I'm not sure the source of your beef with Griffiths, but I think it led to your banning on PP. You seriously need to find a special purpose in life other than stalking Griffiths. This is getting creepy.

Here, let me help with your special purpose:
