Guys I need help. My outlaw project (88 Carrera coupe becoming a 74 RS look) and I need to decide on a paint code asap. I am 100% going to go with one of the many factory Porsche orange codes produced over the last 50 years.

I want a real vibrant orange. Meaning a simple bright orange color. I have seen many orange Porsches which are not the shade I am looking for. Some are to red, some are too yellow.

So I am coming to the experts. Is signal orange a nice pure bright orange or is their a better orange ? Maybe continental orange ?

Go Continental Orange, it's VERY vibrant true orange and a correct color for the era. Here is my 76 I sold last year in Continental Orange, REALLY regret it.

I think the guys above are correct. Continental Orange on a 74+ will work better than signal orange. Signal Shown here on the Orange T

IMHO, Tangerine (018) is a really great period color, but for a retro car, I wouldn't get too hung up on the color code.... pick what you like. Orange really works on these cars, so if it looks good to you, it'll probably look good to everybody.

I am still undecided between signal orange and continental orange. I have never seen GT3 Orange, is that really a color code?

It appears that every time I see Continental Orange it has black accents like Carrera script.

I am also likely to add black accents/ wheels so I think that it would look better in continental.

I don't recall ever seeing Signal Orange with Black accents.
