winter projects
hey, i thought it would be interesting to hear what anyone/everyone was doing to there cars over the winter. this is the best time to get stuff done, since you can't practically drive in the snow and salt.

I have a busy winter planned:
Motor rebuild
Pedal Cluster Rebuild with all new cables
Interior repairs (hopefully)
RUF front and rear bumpers with paint (hopefully)
It all depends on my time and budget. The motor is first priority.

ahh.. those december doldrums... the time of the year you long to drive your baby, but instead youre forced to fix and discover more problems with our cars.
what will i be doing?
1. taking the car to a body man, to cut out and replace the front pan, where i just discovered a small amount of rot through the pan, near where the suspension bolts to the front.
2. do an alignment (front suspenion bolts to front pan, so this will be a must)
3. put in new shifter bushings
4. replace short shift kit with original shifter
5. replace bumper update kit with original rear bumper
6. replace updated mirrors with period correct bullet mirrors
7. refinish the interior completely
8. oh i forgot, sand down the floor to get rid of surface rust that just started to form, and coat with por 15. might find more stuff to por 15 while im at it, but so far the floor is the only place with rust, and its just a few speckles of surface crud.
9. touch up the paint
10. if im lucky and have enough cash, replace all the ruber around the windows, which are now starting to go bad. not terable, but better to be safe than sorry.
she was solid when i got her almost 6 years ago, but now there are some things that just need taken care of and prevention. im gonna be awful busy and broke this winter but it will definitly be worth it
