Default Need some help/information for Porsche 991 GT3

Hello everyone, this is my first time in this forum and I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post or not but anyway, today night i was chilin out in my gt3 for like 2-3 hours, then i raced with a new BMW m6 f12, the race was like 15 seconds only then i got to the roundabout and suddenly i see a red warning saying 'Not possible to drive on' and i saw the oil temperature was OVER 120 by 1cm and a small red light on, i couldn't stop immediately cause i was on turn, then i stopped aside, i didn't turn off the car, after like 30 seconds, suddenly the oil temperature goes immediately back to 90 and everything went back normal , i continued driving till i got home and everything was fine. Can someone who's expert explain for me what just happened to the car? I freaked out when i saw that red warning and watching the oil temperature above 120. I can provide engine or chassis number if needed. The car is 2014 with 7200km milage.

It was the car telling you that street racing is not allowed - "Not possible to drive on". Next time take your 991 GT3 to a closed race track. And... the Rennlist forum you are interested in is the 991 GT3 Forum - Link HERE.

There is a little German man who lives in the frunk, lays on his side and peers out the left brake duct when the car is moving. Otherwise he stays asleep.

lol funny guys...anyway that's not my point, the point is the freak oil temperature that went to the max in a sec and went after like a min immediately back to 90.

I never have understood why people waste their time racing BMWs. Those things are so inferior.

Dan, sounds like some sort of ground problem... maybe a loose wire.
