Just plain mean....
Yo Nate! I must agree, it’s ‘mean’ and also quite sad. The truth of the matter; it probably wound up in ‘her’ lawyer's parking spot anyway... I'm wondering if that's where he had the picture taken for his ad… Most likely, it just went towards paying off some of the legal fees...
I once heard it said concerning divorces: "the only winners in a divorce are the attorneys.. And even more profoundly: "It's the screwin' you get for the screwin' you had..." Now for the good news: it was just a Boxster… heh, heh, heh...lol Just have to keep looking on the bright side ,eh? Right on, Jack!

I have seen it plenty of times that the wife went after hubby's toys, even though she hated them while they were still a couple! Going after what hurts most is the goal.
I have an aquaintance who 'lost' a rare muscle car in one of his divorces. When I voiced sympathy for his loss, his reply was: "Well worth giving up that car to get rid of the ...".
As far as I am concerned: Be careful who you marry, maintain a good relationship and have about 5 cars, so she can't possibly get them all if worst comes to worse.

too funny....the reason I'm shopping for a project 911 is because I'm wrapping up a divorce. I bought the wife an Explorer, I keep the Rover, and now I think I'll buy myself a new toy to wrench on. And yes, "the only winners in a divorce are the attorneys".
As a guy who thought he'd NEVER be divorced - let me add a comment or two. I'm not a woman hater kind of guy at all. when people split they ought to have the sense to just walk away as cleanly as possible and say NOTHING about the other. But a woman that would drive this? I have no words to cover her - avoid her by miles.
I was married 20 years and suddenly (yes, I was paying attention) she decided she wanted out. No, there was no cheating, beating, money, kid, substance or other obvious problems. She just decided she wasn't happy and wanted out. You'd think (I did) after 20 yrs. the big issues would have been addressed. 2-3 years of separations/therapy, etc, expenses you wouldn't believe -it was over. Lost everything. Had a beautiful black Volvo 850 R (a performance car if you're a car guy sort -which we on this board are) - lost it. No car at all for about 6 months, owed the attorney too much. No house. Believe me, if it is a "marriage of long standing" as the law defines it, you get hosed. Lucked out, my kids were both 18, no child or spousal support. But still, I got hosed. As to the "screwing you get for what you got" Well, yes, but at this point in thr marriage, you got it a LONG time ago. It's long over when they decide to leave. And beleive me, they decide long before they tell you.
Now? Got an old house I have restored. Found a 944 that had been stored for 6 years - it was cheap and I was broke nad, hey, I'm still a car guy. It looks gorgeous now and runs like a champ - for what it is. I am looking for a 911 as soon as I get my kids out of school.

I hear you there, that's why I only agreed to "the only winners in a divorce are the attorneys"! We settled out of court, so no spousal support, but I'm looking at a $1k (in 2003 dollars), minimum, per month of child support for the next 15 years, and that's with 50/50 custody! There's a nice, new 911 right there. And the atty fees would have paid for gas, oil, and maintenance for the life of that shiny new 911. 1970's or 1980's project car, here I come...
I'm not a woman hater at all, either, but my personal advice for divorce is: If you're going to go through with it, just make sure you're the woman.
