Best resale color on RSR replica
I'm builing a RSR replica, and wanted a few opinions on what would be the best resale color, if I do infact sale the car after it is built. I personally would go with gulf blue, but what are your thoughts. Thanks Matt S.

Paint it what YOU like. Difference in resale value due to color are marginal, especially compared to what you will have sunk into it!
If you want my opinion anyway: I personally like red much. Red is timeless and attractive to many people.

Matt, it's a tough question to ask us...your potential market for an RSR replica is smaller than the market for 911's in general. So, if you assume that your market is comprised of track junkies (like Jack ), then, you can imagine that they're not too conservative about their interests in this type of car. So, I can imagine that many colors would be acceptable to a potential buyer, especially colors that look good when dressed up with sponsor logos and car numbers. What colors do you like?

I like the White with Blue script and wheel centers, but Silver/Black is my second favorite.

Don't paint it orange. I'm doing orange...
I'd vote for silver. Or, if you're not into originality too much, use the newer factory Porsche color "Seal Grey"...it's a dark silver metalic. Beauuuuutiful...

Very nice to be faced with that choice. I'm partial to the colors that they came in. White with Martini colors, or something like that. Red is not my favorite for a track color with lots of graphics, but one of my favorites for an unadorned car. I would not paint a track car metalic because of the difficulty of doing touch ups, but the Seal Grey metallic was one of our three top choices for the Boxster. Tough choice.

Here's a pic of a silver RSR rep....I think it's killer. It works well with either black or chrome trim pieces and either black or polished Fuchs. Plus, historically accurate (well, to some degree anyway).
