I need help setting the timing on this 3.0 motor. Pelican articles are vague. I know how to advance and retard by the distributor. .. have a timing light set up.... which mark needs to line up to the one on the fan shroud? What do I look for when revved to 5k? Should the vaccum be connected at all times or at a certain point disconnected? Thanks in advance! Any help is appreciated!

I'm very pleased that you got your car running to your satisfaction.
For anyone reading this thread, I would suggest including pertinent, critical information such as year, whether its US or ROW, and local octane fuels since timing specs vary widely. The consequences of too much timing can be catastrophic so this is something not to be ignored.
