My posting got screwed-up. Sorry. Here it is again:
Calling all 911 friends!
While adjusting the power top on my 1988 911 cab yesterday, unfortunately I over tightened and broke the main, center bolt on the power top transmission. The transmission itself works fine, I just need to replace the central bolt.
Are you a pack rat like me? Do you also save old, broken parts for future possible use? I sure hope so!
Do you have an old, broken 911 cabriolet power top transmission sitting on a shelf? If so, I'll trade you a case of your favorite beer for that bolt! Name your price!
Please contact me with any leads. Thanks everyone!
