Default 911sc front bearings

im getting front pass side wheel bearings done on my 1980 911 sc, just wanted to know if timpkin from autozone or national(mook )from advanced auto parts are decent bearings, and if not what are and where I can get them, thanks

Order them from pelican, get the oem. Make sure the guy you take it to knows how to properly adjust them.

I'd also do both sides at once. Call it peace of mind.

This is a simple DIY. As stated above, just be sure that you adjust them correctly. Lots of posts on how it is done. Also +1 for doing both.

its going in the shop today, not going to have time to get any from pelican, which ones would you go with the national or the timpkins?

Can't speak for Timken as the brands we carry are SKF, NTN and *** but I'm sure you'll be fine plus your mechanic should be able to provide some feedback. As stated above, it's a good idea to do both sides. If you'd like to read about the process just so you know what your mechanic is referring to, there is plenty of info here on the 'list as well as instructions we prepared, Front Wheel Bearing Replacement.
