Default Targa Roof Adjustment

Guys,

With the UK winter looming (rain, rain, some wind, rain, wind, some more rain!!!), I need to think about sealing my targa top as Porky is going to be my daily driver through the winter months (Yes I am turning mad!!).

Is there anyway I can adjust the front latches on the top to pull it down slightly on the quarterlights (tried adjusting these but can't get them to raise any more)

Thanks

Wayne

I saw a porsche manual on ebay from the factory on how to make all the adjustments to seal the roof. Can youbelieve it went for 130.00... I would have payed the guy 10.00 just for a photocopy !

anyway I don't think this is the answe to oyur question but taking the top trim off the door will show ann adjstment for the side window ipper stop limit ..would this help ?

Thanks Ice,

I've already adjusted all I can, I'm just having problems sealing the front of the roof tighter to the top of the quarterlights.

That manual would have been handy!!!

The little gap above the quarters is a chronic problem w/ the Targa. I just replaced my Targa bar seal and front seal. I did this to eliminate rattling, wind noise, etc. She's tight as a drum now! I noticed that by doing this, it "almost" sealed the quarters. I think the issue stems from the window in it's upright position, slightly extends above the quarters. May some sort of window adjustment can fix it!

actually i have the factory tech manual and how to adjust everything and look for and seal leaks on a targa .. doesnt help much
it realy just tells techs to do a bunch of adjustments before replacing seals ..

My quarter window sits lower too and the main window goes about an eighth higher with a small plastic interface piece that the window hits at the top flexing, i didnt realize it was suppose to be that way and thought mine was adjusted wrong..

I have same exact condition. That's why I think it's a chronic issue for Targa's all seem the same.

I drove in 20-something degree temps during winter mornings in Dallas, with no top in Ruby. Even did it with no windshield once, home from the paint ship. Had snowflakes that day. I remember being going past some low riders in an old Impala, and got thumbs up.
