Not the rockers!! You no like Cocaine?

I like the rockers. If they need a home, I'll gladly hang them on my wall and admire them for the artwork they are.

I just got the car back from the body shop and I'm loving having the standard 930 rockers on the car! Now the purchase feels complete If anyone wants a set of aftermarket boxed rockers just let me know. They are yours for free.

Blog post about it - http://87m491.wordpress.com/2014/07/...-vice-rockers/

The boxed rockers are not OEM, they were an aftermarket modification. I just restored the car to its original state when it left the factory floor

Why? The owner of the body shop with many decades of Porsche experience identified the boxed rockers as an aftermarket product (galvanization process is different than OEM). If there is other compelling data that you are aware of I would love to know what it is. For example...maybe you are the previous owner holding out on me I would love to document as much of the history as I can so please feel free to share.

Ah a so called "expert" ! ... wondering how many of these rockers crossed his way that he is able to make such a statement ...

what i can say about these parts is that very very few M491 got them ex. "Sonderwunsch" department (what is today Porsche Exclusive) - so this was never an official OEM-part!
there are 4 cars dokumented for My 1989 and i have some more from earlier years on my lists.

As i said - i would keep them - no matter what the "experts" say ...

Best from Germany

Norbert

FWIW, Norbert has put a lot of work into the T/L register and in researching T/L facts and figures. If it were me, I'd listen to him.

Do join the register if you have not already done so.

Enjoy your T/L.

If they were stock, shouldn't there be an option code for them on the sticker under the hood?
