New adaptable CooShims for Classic Porsche!
CoolShims are a new and completely novel product for your classic Porsche. CoolShims are "drop-in" parts that fit between the brake pad and the caliper piston. They conduct heat from the caliper to a heat sink located externally to the brake caliper through a high thermal conductivity dual metal composite developed specifically for the extreme thermal conditions found in high performance brake systems. In dynometer testing at Greening Laboratories in Detroit, CoolShims lowered brake caliper temperatures 20% and prevented brake failure on a conventional truck caliper (read about it here). CoolShims will also decrease brake cool down times so they are working even when you aren’t on the brakes.
These new CoolShims are designed to allow the installer to adjust the position of the fins and allow clearance on the smaller wheels commonly found on classic cars.
