For MY 85/86/87/88 there were 3 engine specs all RoW 930/20 and US/J/FGR-M298 930/21 and Sweden/Switzerland/Australia 930/26
For MY 89 there were 2 engine specs all RoW 930/20 w/o cat and all other 930/25 w/ cat

Just like to point out that all Metzger engine 911 variants from '94 up have forward mounted oil tanks if that's important to you
'72 and slightly less so '73 were sweet spots for US users In '72 there was only one world wide version of the 911T, and one worldwide version of the 911E and one worldwide version of the 911S, In '73 US cars got the funky rubber bumper blocks(a minor irritation), then lost MFI on the T halfway through the year and didn't get the most desirable version of all, the 911RS, because Porsche wouldn't jump through US certification hoops.
