For some reason I get the impression that the board activity has slowed since moving to the new ones. Is it just me? Maybe seperating the diffent types of cars has spread things out a bit. Or maybe I just have way to much time on my hands. maybe I worked to quickly on my project and I need to get another one....maybe...maybe ..WOW...I am just rambling....Have a great weekend all...Im planning a nice morning drive through the foothills.

I too have noted a different "dynamic" to the board than previously. Not worse, just different. Form & Content are inextricably linked (Porsche's are an object example, eh?), and the changes in the site architecture & membership registration have indeed effected the content. It now seems more formal & structured, fewer "squirrels", less controversy, more Porsche Purity...

One key difference is that in the past, if you opened up the page, you would see every response shown to you. Now you just see the topics. To really compare, I guess you'ld have to add up the posts from one day to the next and then compare them after a while to the old site.
I DO get the impression the traffic is lighter anyway, though. This is a better board. Posts don't disappear after a few days like they did on the old one.

I think the new 964 board took some away from this board. The 964 board is really dead. As a Carrera owner I feel the 964 belongs just as much and the pre-SCs. Just my $.02.
The old board had more of a vintage feel, just like my 3.2L. The new board is better but...I guess that's why I didn't buy the 964.

The one thing I don't care for is when posts run way outside of normal margins and you have to scroll back and forth over each line to read them. Is there any way to avoid this?

In my experience, as soon as you put passwords on a board traffic slows, but all (or most of) the BS is gone.
There are probably a lot of people reading the board who don't post cuz of the password stuff.

I noticed the same thing about the margins going too wide, it's very annoying. I wonder if there's a compromise board design between the old one and new one. All BBSs seem to use this board format, maybe it's from Microsoft. There probably are a bunch of people who read but don't post.
