Brings a smile to my face every time I see post about your car. Glad to see that you still have it.

Grant's car illustrates how "Delete" is the foundation of a good RS. Weight loss is cheap horsepower. You have to do it. Delete the creature comforts first. Make it look clean and tidy. If it stays, it better have a strong purpose. If it is added in, like a rollbar, make it look period correct. Nothing makes my head explode more than the wrong steering wheel or a modern stereo.

Small world, Grant - I was there that day, I assume before you purchased her?

A few more pics I've kept.

Cheers

Very cool, Matt. The builder, Pierre Bilodeau, is from Quebec City and he dove it to Porsche Parade in Florida and then to me (I bought it sight-unseen at the Parade) in Colorado in the Summer of 2003.

Yup, I spoke to the QC builder on another, later occasion.

I took pics as I was very impressed with the workmanship, esp. the open visible rear deck area under plexi. Very trick.

Cheers!

Had a chance to view the RS clone today. First time it has been outside since 2001.

Am I nuts for considering buying an antique?

The car has two sets of Fuchs and two sets of seats.
Anybody here know what the deal is with these seats? Thet are told to be original seats.
They have been in storage for quite some time therefore it is hard to access them but the appear ok.

Although the car requires a good going over from hibernation it still appears clean from the restoration completed in the 1990s.

Nuts!!??? Heck no!! Stop procrastinating and buy the darn thing!

Seats alone, if those are real Recaro Sport seats, are worth a good amount of $$ . So be sure to take them with the car...

Seats are original. This is why they are out of car and in storage due to value. Sparcos are currently in car.

Car is $80k. Been parked for last 13 years. Has not seen rain since restoration was completed in the late 90's.

Is a 72T with a 2.7L, S brakes, 2 sets of Fuchs and original RS seats worth $80k?

She was an Aubergine car
