Question Quiet-Riot auto sensing baffles?

Has anyone used them in their too-loud-droning exhaust? If so, are you satisfied? http://www.rocky-mountain-performance.com/

There's plenty of reading on Pelican 911 BBS forums regarding the Quiet Riot baffles ... i'm even considering trying them out this Summer due to the drone of my 3.6 with headers !

Sounds great with a helmet on but not so much otherwise at 2500-3000 rpms ...

Cheers
Phil

can someone explain drone? I hear this plenty of times but don't exactly know what that means.... is it a buffeting noise, annoying low frequency, harmonics at certain frequency that rattles the car?

It's a very annoying low frequency sound that occurs between 2-3K rpms on cars with headers and dual exaust and at a lesser point on other cars with dual out mufflers.I'm sure somebody will come up with a better, more scientifical explanation.

No rattles on the car, just on the eardrums !

Cheers

rhythmic tonal pulse....the constant pulsing you get from a 2 out can get annoying.

Never heard of them. I am installing a B&B header system with heat and a 2 in 2 out muffler. After some research I am going to install a Car Chemistry CC insert into one of the outputs. Others have fixed done doing this.

www.carchemistry.com/cc-inserts/

I'll let you know how it works.
