Default Exhaust Dilema

I live in sothern California and am trying to update the exhaust on my 83' 911sc I want to go with a SSi heat exchangers and an M&K muffler. The dilema is, this setup eliminates the Catalytic converter and the car needs to pass a smog test. The car is currently being totally refurbished. Bare metal repaint, full top end rebuiled (Higher comp ratio), tranny reguild. Any word on wether this setup will pass the sniffer smog test?

See post #71 for some inspiration/consideration.

It is capable of passing the sniffer. You would need a blind smog guy.

Don't you have to pass a visual inspection regardless of the numbers shown? Stock equipment?

If you're modding the internals, I assume cams to go with compression, you may have problems even with a cat.
