1960s Porsche 911 engine barn find

Default 1960s Porsche 911 engine barn find

Found a 1960s 911 engine in a barn. It has 901.107.701.01 on it but I can't seem to find much info on it. Being a Porsche fan I know 901 means its 1960s 911 engine but I am not 100% sure what year or what it is worth. It has everything engine, trans and even the Solex. Please let me know how I can find out what year it is and maybe what it could be worth based off those numbers. I have pictures below as well. Thanks!

Next to the fan housing there will be a type number and a serial number. On the right "passenger" side (the one without a distributor).

That ( 901.107.701.01 ) is the part number for the breather cover.

Once you do get the serial number, here is a link to the red book that can help with the year the engine is from:
