I posted a schematic for an engine platform on a motorcycle jack that will greatly ease the engine removal task. It's not necessary, but its like putting training wheels on your floor jack so that you can go slowly and not dump your engine on the ground.

My friends do this all the time with a motorcycle jack... couple of hours.

(Apparently, my friends lack some respect for my mechanical skills, as they got a restraining order preventing me from doing this myself...).

But I have watched them, (at the court-ordered distance), and it really is not a big deal.

Ha! That's hilarious!

From the sounds of it, JCP if you had to drop the engine to fix oil leaks, then you're in good hands. I'd probably change the oil cooler seals while you are in there, and have a look at the crank seal behind the flywheel. The clutch disc can outlast that seal if the seal keeps things dry.

No, I had to drop the engine because it had 70% leak-down in 4 cylinders. Another story for another day...

Hey, they're predicting 12-18 inches of snow tonight, so if I don't lose electric again, we can discuss at length

Take a good long look at this post. This green O-ring is what is most likely leaking on your engine.
