My point was that “there is no other choice” is misleading. Having one as your favorite is another conversation. A well-sorted 915 is quite a fun and reliable drive.

84 3.2 915 tranny one of the best vercital cars to drive. A well sorted one that is!
Bought mine 3 years ago, money well spent

LOL, came across this. The day after JCP911S's post in Jan 2014, Apple closed at $75. Right now it's at $217, and has paid a bunch in dividends over that time. AAPL probably appreciated better than any 911's over that time, and did not require any PPI or garage space.

So JCP911S, what to buy now?

Just purchased an 82 SC with a 964 3.6L motor. Wow! Driving it is a lot of fun, even with a 915 gearbox. Of course like most I would prefer a G50, but not a reason to pass on the right car if you find it.
