Generally speaking, even extremely well done "conversions" tend to depress the long term value of a car... as there are always doubts about what is actually in there.

In todays market, a fully original documented 930 is pushing $50-60K. A fully original, no-exceses 3.2 Carrara is a $20-25K car.... both are solid investments that will run reliably, and give you years of enjoyment... pick one based on your budget.

Anything in-between is what?

Ask yourself this... if this car were a woman, would you marry her? If you did, I'd guess you'll end up paying for the wedding... and the divorce.

Good luck

Yeah, but in between the marriage and the divorce you would be playing with one hell of a set of bolt-ons.

Not sure if I like the tone of your post.

I think I have seen that before. Reminds me of a cocaine conversion....in a good way.

That "Horse" makes me think this is an exclusive tuner car, not just a frankenporsche. The front end is just very familiar.

It is Rinspeed R69 ish. If the 951 front end could be removed it wouldn't be so bad.

Me no likey! I would go the traditional route and either get a 930 or 3.2, not this "mess".

It was definitely discussed before - maybe on Pelican? - if i recall there were concerns about the stance side to side and the position of the wheels (again when comparing side to side). Hard to put one's finger on it but something seems "funk".

I agree. And if I couldn't find a real 930 or I needed more power than a 3.2 Carrera, then I woud go for a 996 with a IMS upgrade over this "thing".

As said before, get a 996tt. Awesome car for not too much extra. No ims upgrade needed, either. Different engine than 996.

The simple fact that the car sat in storage for 15 years would scare the **** out me. These cars are supposed to be driven. I would rather buy a stock 3.2 carrera with 150K+ miles and a comprehensive service history than this one. Just my humble opinion.

Ah the 951 front bumper on the 911. I remember a few months back someone else wanted to buy this and was asking about it, maybe that was on Pelican. Whoever ends up buying this car better be ready to own it for life cause no one else is ever going to buy it from them. Especially for that kind of price.
