take the rest of the car and value it as if it had stock motor in it - yours should be worth at least that much

you can estimate a stock car in the shape yours is in and then subtract the market value of a stock motor to get at the above

you will hear people claim "it's worth what a buy will pay" and jabber about market clearing price, but the needle in a haystack mention above is very valid - you can get more for the car if you are willing to sit on it for an extended period of time, as potential buyers will be thinly distributed

If this is a really nice car, body and interior w/o to much body hacked to get the engine in there I suspect between 12K-17K. A really nice Carrera will prob go for 25k nowadays... a rebuilt 3.2 motor is like 12K.
