Default oil leak question

I seem to have a slight oil leak in the area where the oil tank and S hose meet. I've tightened the clamp to no avail. I'm wondering, if I drain the oil from the tank and sump, will there be any oil left in the S hose? I'm thinking about inspecting it and maybe replacing both the hose and clamp. I just don't want to be surprised when I pull it off.

Could be the oil tank itself. That happened to me. First the hose was replaced, Turned out to be the oil tank. My mechanic found a good used one. Leak is now gone.
