Post 84 Targa Clutch Noise

Good Morning:

I have an 84 Targa with about 65Kmi. Recently I have been driving the car daily and have noticed a rattle or slight grind when the car is running in nuetral. As I depress the clutch pedal the noise dissapears. When I release the pedal (still in nuetral) the noise re-appears. Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Christopher

What are the implecations if it is a throw out bearing? Does it require immediate attention because it will cause other damage?

Thank you,

Christopher
