I drove mine to UT basketball game tonite and parked it on the street. No problems and I generally treat it like any other car. I am even of the belief after yrs of miata ownership that you shouldnt keep anything valuable in the car and dont ever lock it. Much less damage if someone wants to check it out.

Might sound crazy, but I've always left my cars unlocked too with nothing valuable inside. Thought I was the only one!

Rather not pay for that broken window.

Mine is always unlocked...it's a cabriolet. Nothing inside will be as expensive as a new rag top.

My issues all happen when I am driving. Seems everyone wants to race me or show me who's "boss". Otherwise, most people like to look at my 911 and are quite nice.
