Here is one, a bit higher mileage but spectacular (so says the seller) condition.....asking $23.9k.
You should check the Pelican for sale and you will have your answer.

I used to like this forum.....but people like you who think you own the place need to be called out.......sadly, I suspect you run more people off than help.

Appreciate all the feedback. I now have a pretty decent overview of the market values

For that's when the NEW Targa's Are suppose to be coming out. And a Truly Real and True Targa this time compared to how they did the Targa on the 997.1 slash 997.2 Targa's. But TRUE to the name REAL Targa's right?

For the life of me, I don't understand why some people have to pick at other people...
pick, pick, pick...it's like listening to someone degrade their wife at the dinner table. Just makes the whole thing uncomfortable.
Anyway, a 1985 Targa with 60K, unmolested in good shape? $25k minimum seems a tad high, but I guess high numbers are good for me and my 89 Targa!
GLWS!

Just as a teaser...washed the car for my friend and took a picture. Looking pretty good, still trying to work out an option for me to purchase...

Looks good! I have a black 85 coupe, so I might be a little biased. Good luck. If you were to ask the question this way, what's a good value to buy the car from a friend, at fair price where neither party is greedy, I think you find yourself in the $23-24k range.

are those sport seats ? kinda hard to tell from the pic. if so thats a plus. wheels look like 15s . i have the same car with 16s and that looks like a bit more rubber, again hard to tell from the pics .

Very nice example!! From all my experience and as a Targa owner for a couple years now, mid $20k range would seem right for the car in today's market. The 3.2 models have been coming on very strong as of late. Couple years ago, you would be looking in the high teen range.
