Default Storing my Supersport over the Winter

I don't use my 911 over the Winter for obvious reasons. I leave it in a lock up, covered, and with a trickle charge to keep battery topped up. Chatting to a dealer the other week he told me of a client who didn't use his over the Winter but when he took it out in the dry weather the oil seals had dried out and there were lots of other problems. But I really don't want to use it in our 'orrible English Winters..any advice?

I've stored my porsche over winter for over 20 years... No issues.... Any chemical engineers here known oil to dry out? .. Thought not...

If the car is going to leak oil kts going to leak oil. Storing it has little to do with it.

I put gas stabilizer in it, fill the tank and put them trickle charger on it.

Rich,

I store my car from November 30th until the first weekend in May and i've never had any issues ...
Make sure your fuel tank is full and with the required amount of Stabil fuel stabilizer and it's probably the best time to change your oil as well just before storing your car away.

By doing this and trickle charging the battery every month,it starts up first turn of the key every time !

Cheers

Why not start it up every few weeks?

Because that is the worst thing you can do. Only driving it with the oil getting fully up to temp would help , otherwise you open the flood gates to condensation and moisture.
