cover panels footwell blowers
As I have started already to remove carpet and paint the sheet metal instead (most in the rear is gone), I am thinking about to continue with this moving forward in the car.
Anybody has a good idea what to do with the cover panels for the footwell blowers. I will keep the blowers as I need the heat. The panels itself are made from (flexible) plastic, covered with carpet on the outside and have some insulation on the inside. I am not sure what is the best prep for painting these covers or if somebody came up with a total different good looking idea? As the blowers are not really pretty, leaving the panels off entirely does not look too attractive to me.

I was looking at the car today thinking what to do while the engine cooled down from a nice and quite motivated Sunday morning back roads drive. It would be perfect to have it as a carbon fiber part. The lid for the shifter coupler housing is available as a CF part, but I have not seen these covers yet. I have no idea how complex making a carbon fiber part is, but this would be a good example in my opinion.
