cubiclex - 77 911s Targa

Does anyone know if the factory seats out of a 1986 944 will fit my 1977 911S? Are there any glitches with this or will they fit the bolts without problems? Thanks for your responses.

This may not answer your question, but about two years ago a fellow PCAer was selling a pair of factory leather power sport seats from his concours winning '87 944 Turbo. I was interested in upgrading the stock seats in my '87 Carrera so I checked with two Porsche specialists who both confirmed that the seats would fit my 911 so long as I got the seat rails along with the seats.

I called too late and lost out on the 944 sport seats which went to someone else (a friend of the seller's), but I would not have hesitated to make the deal based on the advice of two very knowledgeable Porsche technicians. About one year later my local Porsche expert came up with a beautiful pair of power sport seats from an '86 (I think) 911 which are now in my '87 Carrera.

I have a similar situation. I have a set of seats I removed from my 1984 944 and want to put them into my 1973 911T. Any thoughts on problems I might have?
This is my first 911 and I love the car.
